The Kanpur Police have finally cancelled the challan of film actor Varun Dhawan. The video of Varun Dhawan driving a bullet, who came to shoot in Kanpur, went viral because he was riding a bike without a helmet. Kanpur Police had cut the challan based on the video, for which he was getting trolled a lot.
Today, the Kanpur Traffic Police, being trolled on social media by challenging the bike of film actor Varun Dhawan, who went to shoot in Kanpur, cancelled the challan. Traffic DCP Sankalp Sharma says that the challenged motorcycle was a matter of shooting the film; he had also taken permission for it.
DCP Traffic Sankalp Sharma said that the challan of that bike had been cancelled after these facts came to the fore in the investigation. On April 16, Varun Dhawan shot for his film ‘Bawal’ in Kanpur. At that time, he was travelling on his bullet bike without a helmet, due to which he was challenged.
The unique thing is that the number on Varun Dhawan’s bike was that of Pramod Kumar, a resident of Unnao. Varun Dhawan was shooting for the film, which also had permission, so the Kanpur Police was being criticised on social media regarding the challan. Comedians themselves, Raju Srivastava and Annu Awasthi, also considered it wrong to challan.
Women’s organisations had also accused it of a film case and alleged that if there are scenes of rape and murder in the film, will the police file a case against that too? After this, Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena ordered an inquiry into it. Today, the Traffic DCP has cancelled the challan considering the shooting permission as the basis for the investigation.
DCP Traffic Sankalp Sharma said, ‘The bike which was challenged as a matter of shooting of the film, he had also taken permission for it after this fact came to the fore in the investigation, the challan of that bike has been cancelled.’
