South’s Actress Maheshwari Amma, known as Lalita, has passed away. The veteran actress has worked in 500 films, including Mollywood and Kollywood, in 5 decades. In early December, Lalita, 73, was suffering from a liver-related ailment and was admitted to the hospital. However, on Tuesday night, she left all of us and left.
The last rites of the Actress will be held in Kerala today, i.e. on Wednesday. Even though Lalita was active in work, she faced many problems for some time. On the other hand, the Actress has gone free from all these problems on Tuesday night.

Talking about Lalita’s professional life, she started her career through the Left-oriented Kerala People’s Arts Club. It is a theatre club. After this, in 1969, Lalita got a break in the film industry, and she worked in the film ‘ Kottukududumbam ‘. KS Sethu Madhavan was directing this film.
Lalita has been active in work since 1969 and has been working for almost five decades. Apart from Malayalam, Lalitha has also worked in many other languages. Let us tell you that the Actress used to play more family characters. She was well-liked in the characters of mother, sister and daughter. Apart from this, his comedy was also very much liked by the audience.

Lalita has also been awarded the National Award for Supporting Actress for the films Amaram and Shantham in 1990 and 2000 for her tremendous work.
Personal Life
Talking about Lalita’s personal life, she married film director Bharathan. However, the director passed away in 1998. Lalita has a son Siddharth who is an actor and director.
