Manish Gupta’s last rites took place on Thursday morning, 53 hours after his death. Earlier, the relatives of the victims who were adamant about meeting CM Yogi Adityanath were not performing the last rites of Manish. Late on Wednesday night, many top officials, including Kanpur Police Commissioner Aseem Arun, reached Manish’s house and talked to his wife, Meenakshi. During this, Asim Arun said that the family would be made to meet CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, after which the victims’ families had agreed for Manish’s last rites.

What is the police story?
According to the police, the police of police station Ramgarhtal had gone to a hotel while checking criminals. There, three suspicious youths had come from different cities in a room. On this information, the police took the hotel manager along and scanned the room, where a young man (Manish) was hurt after falling into the room in a panic. After this, the police immediately admitted the young man to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
What was the matter?
On Monday morning, Manish Gupta had gone to Gorakhpur with his two friends Hardeep Singh Chauhan and Pradeep Singh Chauhan. Here these people were staying in room number 512 of Hotel Krishna Palace. Hardeep said that on Monday night at 12:30, the police had reached the hotel to check. When Manish woke up from sleeping, he asked, what is the checking going on this night? Are we terrorists? On this, the policemen started beating him. During this, Manish suffered a head injury, after which he was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Manish Gupta was the only son.
Manish Gupta’s wife Meenakshi said that they were married eight years ago in the year 2013. Manish used to work in real estate. Apart from the ailing father-in-law in the family, he has a 4-year-old son Abhiraj. Manish has three sisters; they are married. Meenakshi said that after talking on the phone late on Monday night, it seemed that everything would have been fine, but it was found on the phone at around 5 am on Tuesday that the husband is no longer in this world.
