Mukhtar Ansari Got Bail: Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda Jail, has gotten significant relief. On Wednesday, the Mau court ordered the release of Ansari on bail in a gangster act case. The order of release will be sent to the Superintendent of Banda Jail. However, other cases are also pending, so Ansari will have to remain in jail for now.
The MP MLA Court granted Mukhtar Ansari bail on a surety of one lakh rupees in the case registered at Dakshin Tola police station in Mau in 2010. Judge Dinesh Chaurasia has issued this order. Since the maximum punishment under the Gangster Act is ten years, Mukhtar has been in jail continuously since the registration of this case.
Mukhtar Ansari Got Bail from Mau Court
On behalf of the jail superintendent, Mukhtar Ansari is still in jail since 09 September 2011 in crime number 891 of 2010 ST number 2/12. Whereas in this case, there is a maximum punishment of 10 years. But he has been imprisoned in a jail in the said case for more than that. It was also noted that the detention of Ansari, in this case, is no longer legal. Regarding this, the Mau MP-MLA court has given this order to release Mukhtar Ansari in this case of the Gangster Act.
Whereas the maximum punishment, in this case, is ten years.
But Mukhtar Ansari is still pending in the two gangster act cases, the murderous attack on Ajay Rai and the murder of a witness in the Manna Singh murder case, on which the verdict is yet to come. Ansari will have to remain in jail for now.
Son in Election
For the first time in 30 years, Mukhtar Ansari will not be seen in the UP assembly elections. In his place, son Abbas Ansari has been fielded from Mau Sadar seat on a Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SUBHSP) ticket. Mukhtar Ansari occupied the Mau Sadar assembly seat from 1996 to 2017. Now Mukhtar has left his safe seat for his son.
