Prabhakar Sail, the witness of NCB related to the Aryan Khan case, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, died on Friday. According to his lawyer, 36-year-old SAIL died of a heart attack at his home. Prabhakar was the agency’s main witness in the SAIL case, according to the claims.
He had heard talks of money transactions in the case. He claimed that there was talk of a transaction of 25 crores. Rs 8 crore was earlier for Sameer Wankhede, the officer who headed the investigation. Amidst the political controversy, Wankhede had denied all the allegations against him, although he was later transferred.
SAIL had claimed in its affidavit that Kiran Gosavi had spoken to a person named Sam D’Souza. Gosavi had told a person named Sam D’Souza that you have planted a bomb of 25 crores and finalize it in 18 because eight crores have to be given to Sameer Wankhede.
Nawab Malik raised questions after this claim.
SAIL had also claimed that Gosavi met Aryan Khan’s lawyer, Pooja Dadlani and allegedly made a deal of Rs 50 lakh for Aryan Khan’s release. After this claim, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik raised questions about the NCB investigation.
Aryan Khan was granted bail after spending several weeks in jail in a high profile case. Earlier this week, a special NDPS court has given 60 days to the NCB’s SIT to file the charge sheet in the case.
