Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waje has been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the case of receiving a car full of explosives from Antilia near Mukesh Ambani’s house. Waje will be produced in court today. Waje had reached the NIA office at around 11 am on Saturday, where he was interrogated for nearly 12 hours under the leadership of Inspector General Anil Shukla. After this, he was arrested at 11.50 pm.

An NIA spokesperson said, “Sachin Waje was arrested in the NIA case RC / 1/2021 / NIA / MUM at 11.50 pm.” On 25 February, some gelatin sticks and a threatening letter were found. The NIA said that Vaje was arrested on February 25 for playing a role in building a vehicle loaded with explosives and being involved in it.

‘Encounter Specialist’ Waje is also under questions in the death of Thane resident businessman Mansukh Hiran. The said Scorpio was with Hirani. The deer was found dead on March 5 in a creek in the Thane district. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is investigating the deer case. A few days after the deer was found dead, the ATS lodged an FIR against unknown persons.

A Scorpio SUV car with explosives and threatening letters was found on 25 February near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence in South Mumbai. Investigation revealed that auto parts businessman Mansukh Hiren owned the car. On March 5, Mansukh’s body was recovered from a ditch outside Mumbai. Mansukh’s wife, Vimala Hiren, accused Sachin Waje of killing her husband.
