Along with other states of the country, there has been a sharp decline in coronavirus cases in Gujarat. Amidst the decreasing number of cases, the Gujarat government has decided to remove the restrictions. Night curfew has also been removed from Ahmedabad and Vadodara on 25 February, i.e. from today.
Night Curfew Lifted In Ahmedabad and Vadodara
Till now, night curfew was in force in both these cities of Gujarat between 12 pm and 5 am. But amidst the decreasing corona cases, a decision has been taken to remove the ban imposed on both the cities at night.
According to media reports, from today, there will be no restriction on movement at night time in both the cities. However, some limitations in social, political, cultural and religious ceremonies and activities will continue. Such celebrations can be organized only with 50 per cent capacity. The Government of Gujarat has taken this decision. In Gujarat, gatherings will be held in open spaces with 75 per cent capacity amid easing restrictions.
Night curfew removed from two cities.
There have been fewer corona cases in the state than before, but still, negligence has not been allowed. Even after the night curfew is lifted from two cities of the state, wearing face masks and social distancing will have to be followed. Also, according to the Corona guidelines, the ban on spitting in public places will continue.
Only 293 new cases of infection
A more significant decline is recorded in corona cases in the state than before. On Thursday, only 293 cases of infection were registered. At the same time, 305 new cases were reported on Wednesday. Every day a decline of up to 4 per cent is recorded in the corona cases. On Thursday, 112 cases of the corona were registered in Ahmedabad. It is also a relief that not a single patient has died due to infection in the city.
