A rare Sahastrabahu Lotus flower is blooming in the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. In India, this flower is known as Sahastra Bahu Kamal, and in other countries around the world, it is known as UTP Lotus, i.e. Ultimate Thousand Pellet Lotus. The shape, colour, and fragrance of this flower are entirely different and outstanding from other flowers. According to experts, this flower has blossomed for the first time in the state. Anyway, lotus flowers have always been considered unique due to their size and beauty.

Sahastrabahu Lotus Blossomed in Dhamtari

Dozens of species of the lotus flower are found worldwide and in India. It has religious importance in Hinduism and the country’s politics; the lotus flower has a special place. According to sources, the Sahastrabahu lotus, though in its natural form, is found in the Himalayan regions. There they bloom naturally in the altitude and certain temperatures above sea level. At the same time, according to the state’s weather, it was almost impossible for this flower to bloom, but Shruti Agarwal, fond of gardening in Dhamtari, has made it an impossible task.

Why is this flower special?

In this case, according to Shruti Aggarwal, who is fond of gardening, there are more than a thousand petals inside this flower. Due to this, it is called Sahastra Bahu or UTP Lotus. Its distinctive colour, large size and delightful aroma are its speciality. The bud of this flower blooms on its own in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, but in Chhattisgarh, its bud has to be fed by hand; this flower is in demand all over the world, and this flower is sold very expensively in the market.

Shruti said that it requires a lot of hard work and care to feed it in Dhamtari. Special care is taken of everything like weather temperature, water air manure. Only then has it successfully been achieved. Shruti Agarwal is a housewife, but she is very fond of gardening. Due to this hobby, he has got this success. This rare Sahastrabahu Lotus flower has blossomed in the garden behind his house.
