Interesting History: Saraswati River Still Flows In Last Indian Village Mana


In the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, you will find a village when you go to an altitude of three kilometres from Badrinath. This village is known as Mana Village. This village is adjacent to the border of China and is the last village of India. There is also a shop here, written in big letters ‘ Hindustan’s last shop ‘. Whenever people visiting Uttarakhand ( Uttrakhand ) visit Badrinath Dham, they visit Mana village because its history is fascinating. Know the unique things related to Mana village.

Mana village is surrounded by the beautiful hills of the Himalayas and is situated at an altitude of 19,000 feet above sea level. People of the Randpa caste live in this village bordering India and Tibet. There are about 60 houses here which are made of wood.

The history of Mana village is related to the time of Mahabharata. It is said that Pandavas went to heaven by this path. A bridge built from the Mahabharata period still exists, known as ‘Bhima Pul’.


Of course, the Saraswati river has become extinct, but you will still see it in Mana village. Here a waterfall is seen falling from the rocks at the end of the town. Its water is found in the Alaknanda river as soon as it goes some distance. It is considered to be the origin of the Saraswati river.

It is said that when the Pandavas were going to heaven through this village, they asked for away from the Saraswati river present here, but Saraswati did not give them the way. After this, Mahabali Bhima made way for himself by lifting two big rocks over the river and crossing this bridge. This bridge is called Bhim Pul.

There is also a Vyas cave in this village. In this cave, Ved Vyas Ji spoke the Mahabharata orally, and Lord Ganesha wrote it.


Mana village is also famous for herbs. It is said that all the herbs found here are very beneficial in terms of health. Apart from this, it is also said that whoever comes to this village, his poverty goes away.
