Questions have been raised on the security of temples
Devkinandan Thakur had earlier raised the question regarding the security of the temples. While demanding protection for the saints, he had said that the government should give protection to those who propagate religion; only then faith will be safe. He said, ‘If the Gorakhnath Math of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi is not safe, how will other temples be secure. Gorakhnath Peeth is in the hands of Yogi himself. If a temple-like Gorakhnath can be attacked, how will the rest of the shrines be safe?
Those who slaughter cows should get punishment no less than the death penalty.
He had also told less the fine of 20,000 on those who leave the cows open on the road. He said such people should be punished like a criminal. He said that the punishment for those who cut cows should not be less than the death penalty. Apart from this, he had been told that the government should also make provisions for punishment for those who drink alcohol at the temple.
