Soldiers Are Allowed To Use Guns Under LAC In Additional Circumstances

Following the violent clash with the Chinese military in the Galvan Valley, the government has taken several steps to encourage the army. The army has given powers to purchase weapons up to 500 crores. Apart from this, soldiers have also been allowed to use evidence in exceptional circumstances on the Line of Control (LAC).

News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that some rules on LAC have changed. Under this, field commanders have empowered to allow their soldiers to use weapons under exceptional circumstances.

Our Soldiers Did Not Use Weapons Due To Agreements in Galvan

In fact, during the battle in Galvan, the Indian soldiers did not use weapons because the agreement reached in 1996 and 2005 did not allow China and India to do so. There was also agreement in both countries that their armies would not use explosives and weapons within a 2 km radius of LAC.

The Defense Minister held a meeting with the chiefs of the CDS and the three services, saying – deal strictly.

The Center has now given a complete exemption to Armed Forces. The news agency quoted sources as saying that the forces have asked to take a strong stand to prevent any infiltration of China into the earth, sky, and sea.

On Sunday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat, including Chief of Army Staff General MM Narwane, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and Navy Chief Karambir Singh. In this, he instructed the forces to strictly deal with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The battle between the soldiers of the two countries took place in Galvan on the night of 15 June.

India and China have been under tension in Ladakh for nearly six weeks. On the night of 15 June, there were violent clashes between the soldiers of China and India. Chinese soldiers attacked Indian soldiers with barbed wire poles, in which 20 soldiers killed. India has also said that more than 40 soldiers killed, but China has not yet given the number of dead soldiers.

India Said- China’s Claims On Galvan Valley Not Accepted

The Indian government says that China’s claims on the Galvan Valley are not acceptable. These are in contrast to China’s earlier stance. The situation on Galvan has been clear for a long time. Well versed with LAC and adhering to it. India never crossed the LAC. Indian soldiers have been patrolling the area for a long time. All the constructions are within the limits of India. The boundary is evident on the map of India. The country knows about encroachment on an area of 43 thousand sq km in 60 years. The government will not allow unilateral changes to the LAC.

On the other hand, China is continuously reporting the Galvan Valley to its border. He says that Galvan Valley is part of China and is on our side from LSC. Indian soldiers are forcibly building roads and bridges here.
