On Friday, the Dadar-Puducherry Express met with an accident near Matunga railway station in Mumbai. The train accident happened at around 9.45 pm on Friday when three coaches of the Dadar-Puducherry Express derailed after colliding with the Gadag Express. It is a relief that none of the passengers aboard the train was injured, and all are safe.
After getting information about the accident, all the senior railway officials reached the spot. According to the latest news, Indian Railways has started to determine why this entire accident happened. Due to this accident near Matunga railway station, the services of many trains passing through this line have also been affected.

Train number- 12262, Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express, which will start on April 15, will end its journey at Thane.
Train number- 12140, Nagpur-Mumbai Sevagram Express, which will start on 15th April, will end its journey on Nashik Road.
Train number-17611, which will start the journey on 15th April, will end its trip at Manmad.

Train number- 12071, Mumbai-Jalna Janshatabdi Express, which will start the journey on April 16, will start from Manmad instead of Mumbai. This train will remain cancelled between Mumbai and Manmad.
Train number- 10103, Mumbai-Madgaon Mandovi Express, starting on April 16, will start the journey from Panvel instead of Mumbai.
Trains running on the fast line were diverted to the slow line.
The Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway said that apart from putting the derailed coaches back on track, the work of OHE cable and track fitness will be completed by noon on Saturday. Meanwhile, fast line traffic between Byculla and Matunga has been diverted on the slow corridor. Let us inform you that the accident happened on the fast line with Dadar-Puducherry Express, and suburban trains running in Mumbai are run on the slow line.
