The Twitter account of the UP Government has been hacked. After the Twitter account of the Chief Minister’s Office, now the Twitter account of the UP government was hacked. This is the second major hacking incident in 3 days. The official Twitter handle of the Chief Minister’s Office of Uttar Pradesh was hacked sometime late on Friday night.
The state government official said strict action would be taken against the persons responsible for this. A case was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Lucknow on Saturday.
The senior official said that the account was hacked for about 29 minutes. The hacker made 400 to 500 tweets from the account, and the account was suspended due to unusual activity. It is informed that an attempt was made to hack the official Twitter account of the Chief Minister’s Office on April 8 at 12:30 pm by anti-social elements. It tweeted the official handle of the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday. Some tweets were posted by him, which were immediately retracted.
A second major hacking incident in 3 days
The official said that strict action would be taken against the persons responsible for it after the cyber experts investigate the matter. Meanwhile, when asked about the brief hacking of the official Twitter handle by journalists in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that agencies are investigating (IT).
In Lucknow, Superintendent of Police Cyber Crime Triveni Singh said that in this regard, a case was registered against unknown persons under the IT Act at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Lucknow. According to the official, more than 40 lakh people follow this account.
