Schools Closed in UP: Amidst growing corona cases across the country, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has issued an order to close all government and private schools up to class 8 till 11 April the state. On Friday, it was informed by tweeting on behalf of the CM office. A few days ago, an order was issued to keep schools up to class 8 in UP till April 4. According to the recent order, the remaining schools will continue to study under the COVID protocol.

Corona cases are also increasing continuously in Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, 2600 new cases of the corona were reported in the state. On Wednesday, 1300 cases of the corona were reported. The number of active cases in the state has reached close to 12 thousand. Given this, CM Yogi has taken this decision. CM Yogi said that due to festivals and panchayat elections, people from outside states are returning to Uttar Pradesh, so all steps should be taken to prevent the spread of corona infection in the villages.
Instructions for particular vigilance in these districts
CM Yogi directed to maintain special vigilance in Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Agra and said that the number L-2, L-3 beds should be increased in these districts. He has instructed all the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers to regularly review the situation and decide on a strategy by meeting regularly in the COVID-19 Hospital in the morning and the Integrated Command and Control Center in the evening.
The lockdown-like situation in many states of the country
In the last 24 hours, there have been more than 81 thousand cases of corona infection in the country. The highest number of cases have been reported in Maharashtra. Apart from this, an outbreak of corona is also increasing in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Kerala. Night curfew has been implemented in many cities.
