Vaccination in Mumbai
The program of anti-covid 19 vaccination is going on. But due to the exhaustion of the vaccine stock, the vaccine will not be available in the government and municipal vaccination centres of areas under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. As soon as the vaccine stock arrives, the vaccination program will be started once again. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation has appealed to Mumbaikars to cooperate with the administration in this regard.
Why are there frequent breaks on vaccination?
At present, the program of vaccination is entirely controlled by the central government. The immunisation program is dependent on the stock given by the central government. For some time now, due to the non-availability of vaccines in sufficient quantity, the campaign of vaccination is repeatedly braked. In Mumbai, the vaccination program has had to be stopped many times before. On Tuesday, there was a lot of chaos at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to get the vaccine. Due to the facility of giving vaccines without registering in advance, many crowds have gathered here since morning.
In such a situation, suddenly, people were told that only those who have registered would be given the vaccine. The rest were asked to return. People got furious at this. Despite standing for several hours, it was natural for the people to be angry about not getting the vaccine. Many people expressed outrage over not getting the vaccine even after the deadline for the second dose was over.
