Twitter Admits Mistake, Re-Verifies Venkaiah Naidu Account

Accepting its mistake, the social media website Twitter has re-verified the vice president of India, M Venkaiah Naidu. After the displeasure of the government, Twitter has taken this step. The government clearly said that the Vice President is the second-largest constitutional post in the country. Persons holding constitutional positions are not part of any party. That is why the government sees this act of Twitter with a view of constitutional disrespect.

Venkaiah Naidu Twitter Verified

After this, Twitter accepted and re-verified the Twitter account of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Shortly before now, Twitter had unverified the Vice President’s account. After the uncompromising stand of the government, Twitter withdrew its decision.

On removing the blue tick from the personal Twitter handle of the Vice President, a Twitter spokesperson said, “Account is inactivated since July 2020. As per our verification policy, Twitter may remove the blue tick and verified status if the account is deactivated.” On the other hand, BJP leader Suresh Nakhua had raised the question, ‘Why did Twitter remove the blue tick from the Vice President’s account? This is an attack on the Constitution of India. Let us tell you, along with many RSS leaders Kushn Kumar, Arun Kumar, the Twitter accounts of Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Suresh Soni have also been unverified. These were also objected to.
