The outbreak of cold is increasing rapidly throughout North India. Cold and fog are continuously increasing in the plains of northern India, north-central India. And eastern India due to the cold wave prevailing in the mountains. In the coming days, cold is expected to increase further in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi. Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttar Pradesh. However, the weather is likely to change in northern, central and eastern India from Tuesday.
Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas has resulted in snowfall. In many parts of Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, one or two places in Uttarakhand have received rain and snowfall during the last 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain the same for the next few more times. There is a possibility of more rain and snowfall in the areas for the next 24 hours. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are likely to receive light to moderate rain.
All major tourist areas from Shimla, Manali, Kullu, Srinagar, Gulmarg to Sonamarg will witness the change of this season. Also, light snowfall at one or two places may disrupt roadways, so caution should be taken.
