A Houston-based private company, Axiom Space, will send four of its astronauts to the International Space Station. These four astronauts will leave for space on 6 April 2022 from the Dragon capsule of Elon Musk’s SpaceX company. The name of this mission is Ax-1.
Former NASA Astronaut Michael Lopez Alegria is on this trip. Apart from these, there are three private passengers – Larry Connor, Mark Pethe and Eaton Stribe. The space journey of these passengers will be of 10 days. I will stay at the space station for eight days. The trip will take two days. During this, there will be 25 microgravity experiments. Many of which are related to science, education and outreach.
There will be a meeting of private and government people
Michael Lopez Alegria said this is the new time for human space flight. This flight will open new dimensions of space travel. The scientific group will be involved in working, living, and researching on the space station. Instead, other people of the world will also join. This is a one of a kind international programme.
Which will go on getting more expansive. Michael said that the four of us astronauts worked together in simulation for many hours. Took training. So that together, we can reconcile during the journey. Former NASA astronaut Peggy Witson said that the four astronauts had been fully trained. These people are entirely ready to go to the space station.
