Bathinda: Drugs Problem in Punjab: A 22-year-old player, who won a medal in boxing five times, died late on Wednesday night due to intoxication. His body was found near a needle passing through Talwandi Sabo. The deceased player has been identified as 22-year-old Kuldeep Singh Ward No. 6 Talwandi Sabo. A series has also been recovered near the dead body.
Kuldeep was an excellent player in boxing.
On receiving the information, the police station in Talwandi Sabo took the dead body of the deceased player in its possession and sent it to the Civil Hospital Talwandi Sabo for post-mortem. In contrast, the police have started investigating the matter at its level. It is being told that the deceased player Kuldeep Singh has won five medals at the national level, and he has won two gold medals at the national level in Under 17 and 19. He also won a bronze medal. It is being told that he was a perfect player in boxing.
It is being told that some time ago, he started taking drugs due to falling into bad company. On Wednesday, too, due to the practice on the ground, he went away with some of his colleagues and died due to intoxication.
A day before, the young man had fainted due to an overdose of drugs.
It is worth mentioning that on Wednesday morning in Bathinda, a youth was found unconscious due to an overdose of drugs. The members of the social service organization, Naujawan Welfare Society, reached the spot and took them to the hospital. Sonu Maheshwari, head of the organization, says that near the clock tower on Bibiwala Road, a young man was reported unconscious in an intoxicated state.
After this, the organization’s members reached the spot and got the young man admitted to the hospital. When the doctors started his treatment, according to Sonu, the young man seemed to be a minor who had consumed a large amount of intoxicants. Due to this, he fainted.
