Cricket Australia Chairman Said, T20 World Cup Is Not Possible This Year

T20 World Cup: Cricket Australia (CA) chairman Earl Eddings said on Tuesday that the Twenty-Twenty World Cup is unlikely to be held in Australia this year due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Twenty-Twenty World Cup is to held in Australia from October 18 to November 15.

T20 World Cup Impossible These Year

Chairman of Earl Eddings said, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, teams of 16 countries can’t organize T20 World Cup in Australia, or it will be tough to organize. Currently, most countries in the world are struggling with the Covid-19 epidemic. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is holding frequent meetings in this regard.

The ICC postponed the decision regarding the T20 World Cup to held in the meeting held on June 10 June ten until next month (July). BCCI Ready For IPL 2020

Now there have been reports that in the event of postponement of T20 World Cup. BCCI has planned to organize IPL 2020 from September 26 to November 8. It has not decided yet in which country it will hold. The BCCI’s priority will be to organize this league in India, but it can also arrange abroad if needed.

Kevin Roberts Removed

Earlier on Tuesday morning, Cricket Australia decided after CEO Kevin Roberts removed. He replaced by Twenty-Twenty World Cup Organizing Committee chief Nick Hockley as the interim CEO of the board. CA staff informed of the decision ahead of a zoom press conference on Tuesday morning. T20 World Cup chief executive Nick Hockley has just tentatively given this responsibility. Kevin Roberts still had an 18-month tenure left but had to break away from CA midway due to a wrong decision. He had removed 80 per cent of the staff due to the economic situation of the board in the case arising out of the Coronavirus, due to which an atmosphere was being created against him.
