A national disaster has declared due to the spread of Coronavirus across the country. Given the range of Coronavirus, BCCI has postponed IPL-13 matches till April 15. Now BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has said that this season will be short.

Till before Saturday, the IPL planned to start from March 29, but the BCCI has decided that these matches will not take place before April 15. BCCI President Ganguly said, “If IPL happens, then it will be shorter. If it starts on April 15, then 15 days will go away. How short the season will be, how many matches will be there, I cannot say right now.”

Coronavirus Effect On IPL 13

Ganguly was talking to reporters after meeting with IPL franchise officials. He said that whether the matches will be played without spectators or not, the decision will be made only after April 15, and it is too early to say anything about it because the matches may not start even after this date.

Ganguly said, “Give us a week, and then we will see what is happening around the world, and then we will decide. We will check the situation after every week. We will keep in touch with the authorities and then find a solution”. IPL

Sourav said that the board has not yet fixed any last date. He said, “We can’t say anything about it right now. We want IPL to be there, but we also care about people’s safety”. So far, 84 cases of coronavirus infection have occurred in the country, and two deaths have occurred due to this.
