Jason Roy Rejected These
Jason Roy’s performance in PSL 2020 was excellent, and he scored 233 runs in 8 innings at a strike rate of 120. Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar said during an interview, ‘Jason Roy used to break the bat in annoyance after returning to the dressing room after being dismissed. He had broken all five bats brought with him from England. After that, with the help of Ahmed Shehzad, we got him some bats in Rawalpindi.
Nadeem said, “Jason Roy, who started the innings with Shane Watson, was not able to connect the shots properly.” Watson preferred big shots while Jason was rotating strikes. After that, we asked these two to come down in the batting order, then both of them refused. The team of 2019 winner Quetta Gladiators failed to reach the final this time.
Nadeem’s interview shared by Cricket Pakistan on its official Twitter handle. Following which Jason Roy denied the claim of the owner of his franchise. Jason Roy said, ‘I went to Pakistan with me with 3 or 4 bats. My bats broke due to dry weather in Pakistan. Apart from this, I used them very much on the nets as well, so they split. It is wrong to say that I broke the bat in the dressing room because of anger.
