Although Dharma Productions was at the forefront of this matter, he had several meetings with Yuvraj Singh’s team. However, even after all things were settled, this deal could not be done because Yuvraj Singh wanted an A-list star in his biopic.

Karan Johar had decided to give the lead role to youth sensation Siddharth Chaturvedi in this biopic. Siddharth came into the limelight after the film ‘Gully Boy’.
