Arjun Tendulkar will have to wait for at least one more season to debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as he has been injured. Arjun, a left-arm fast bowler, was injured. Because of this, the Mumbai Indians franchise on Wednesday announced the inclusion of Simarjit Singh in the team in his place. Mumbai Indians said, “Mumbai Indians have included Simarjit Singh in place of injured Arjun Tendulkar for the rest of their IPL 2021 season. Mumbai’s poor start in UAE
Mumbai had a poor start in the UAE leg of the tournament, suffering three consecutive defeats. After slipping to the seventh spot in the IPL 2021 points table, Mumbai beat KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) to secure a crucial two points.
Before the match against Punjab, Mumbai’s middle order was under question due to poor form. Hardik Pandya returned to his state against Punjab and scored an unbeaten 40 off 30 balls to gain a much-needed victory.
Tough road to playoffs
Mumbai Indians is the most successful franchise in the tournament’s history, having won the IPL title for a record five times. The defending champions will now take on Delhi Capitals in their next match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 2. Rohit-led Mumbai will have to win their remaining three games in the league stage to qualify for the playoffs.
