PSL 2021: The sixth season of the Pakistan Super League was halted due to the Coronavirus. Shahid Afridi, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has flown on the Pakistan Cricket Board. Afridi said that stopping the PSL in the middle proves that the PCB did not have another plan ready.
Afridi said that Pakistan Super League should not be postponed. He said, “PSL 2021 is a big brand for Pakistan and Pakistani cricket, and it is unfortunate that PCB did not have another plan ready for this important tournament.”
Afridi further said, “But it seems that when some players and officials came up with some cases of COVID-19, they did not have another plan, and I was shocked by it. The postponement of the league did not send a good message.
The league will resume in June.
This is not the first time that the PCB is under criticism due to the Pakistan Super League’s postponement. Nadeem Omar, the owner of Quetta Gladiators, blamed the PCB for not maintaining the bio bubble.
Let us know that the sixth season of PCL was started in the third week of February. But after playing 12 matches, the league was halted due to 7 cases of coronavirus. The remaining 20 games of the sixth season of PSL 2021 will be held in June.
