T20 World Cup Likely To Go As Per Schedule Despite Coronavirus

Due to Coronavirus, sports activities are currently closed all over the world. Many significant events have either postponed or cancelled. Despite this, the organizers of the T20 World Cup hope that the tournament will hold on time. The competition is to held from October 18 to November 15.

The Australian Football League (AFL) and National Rugby League to held in Australia have already postponed. Now the dates of these leagues can collide with the T 20 World Cup. Despite this, the T20 Cricket World Cup organizers are hopeful that this tournament to held in Australia in October-November this year will be on schedule.

T20 World Cup As Per Schedule

T20 World Cup Organizing Committee Chief Executive Officer Nick Hockley said that we want to put ourselves in the best position from where we can successfully organize this tournament as per schedule. We are looking into it from all aspects. We are in talks with the organizing committee, the ICC and all the members. If something changes, we will let everyone know about it, but for now, only seven months left and we have only a little time. If AFL and Rugby League start in Australia, it will begin only after September.

The ICC had stated in the past and said that it expects the T 20 World Cup to start on time. The local organizing committee has kept an eye on the situation. And will deliberate thoroughly before taking a final decision. At the moment, there is no danger of organizing this World Cup.

If this tournament not held this year, then it may have to cancel because there is no time for the next full year. The T 20 World Cup is to held in India in the year 2021. Apart from this, there is a possibility that if the T20 World Cup is not contained in Australia this year, it could hold there in 2022.
