Virat Kohli Delayed His Quarantine Entry: Indian Test team captain Virat Kohli has delayed one more day to join the Indian team to South Africa in Mumbai. It is reported that Virat has not joined the team’s bio bubble due to personal reasons. An official of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) says that Virat was supposed to join the team on Monday, December 13, but now he will take one more day.

The Indian team going to South Africa is presently present in a hotel in Mumbai. Where they will have to stay in quarantine for three days. However, the Indian captain has not yet joined the team. On which a senior BCCI official, while talking to Inside Sport, said,
‘He was to join the quarantine today, but he has told that he will join tomorrow due to some personal reasons.’
According to the information received by Inside Sport, Virat Kohli is depressed due to the captaincy being snatched and has not been answering the phone calls of selectors and BCCI officials for the last few days. On Sunday, December 12, all the team players had gathered in the camp in Mumbai.
But the Indian captain did not join the camp. After this, the BCCI official said that Virat Kohli was told that he had to join the camp. Speaking to Inside Sport on Sunday, a BCCI official had said,
Indeed Virat was informed, but he hasn’t joined the camp. We hope that he will join the team tomorrow. Before going to Johannesburg, players will have to stay in the bio bubble for three days.
India’s tour of South Africa is starting on December 26. For this, the Indian team will leave Mumbai on December 16. Before going to Africa, the Indian team has to stay in Quarantine from December 13 to 15. The series will start with three test matches. The first Test will be played from December 26, the second from January 3 and the third Test from January 11. After the Test, three ODIs will also be played, held on January 19, 21 and 23.
