In this match, the Indian women hockey played a strong game and did not let the hosts score a single goal. The Indian team defeated the Kiwi team on both the offensive and defensive front. Navneet scored goals in the 45th and 58th minutes while Sharmila scored in the 54th minute. No team could score a goal in the first two quarters.

India’s head coach Shored Marin said, “I am happy that we scored three goals against New Zealand. This tour gave us a good idea of where we need to improve. We have to play fast hockey. Many times players are long The ball keeps rolling over time which creates pressure. We have to give short passes. ”
“The defense will have to exercise some more restraint. We will participate in a four-week camp after a short break. These aspects will be worked out in that camp. The Indian hockey team will return home on February 7,” the coach said.
