Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is always known for joking with fellow players and staff, has disclosed his life considerably. Chahal said that after an IPL match nine years ago, a player hanged him from the balcony of the 15th floor in an intoxicated state. Had there been any mistake, he would have fallen.
31-year-old Chahal is playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2022 season. He has made this disclosure while talking to off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Its video has been shared by the Rajasthan franchise itself from its Twitter account. Karun Nair was also seen with Chahal and Ashwin.
Hanged from the balcony of the 15th floor of Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal said- Only a few people know the story I have. I haven’t met anyone to date. In 2013, I was in Mumbai Indians, and our match was also in Bangalore. It was get together after the match. There was a very drunk player. I will not take his name. They were looking at me for a long time. He called me, picked me up, and hung me from the balcony. I held his head with my hand. I would have fallen from the 15th floor if I had lost my hands.
‘I thought I survived dying.’
Chahal said- Then the people present there came, and they took care of things. My condition had become like fainting. People made me drink water. Then I realised that if you go somewhere, then how responsible and sensible you have to be. This was a part of my life where I felt that I had come back (by the way). If there were even the slightest mistake, I would have fallen.

Chahal’s first IPL team was Mumbai.
Chahal was seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) till the last IPL season. RCB did not retain Chahal. In the mega auction, Rajasthan Royals bought it by bidding for Rs 6.50 crore in such a situation. Chahal has so far played cricket for Mumbai Indians apart from Bangalore and Rajasthan in IPL. Mumbai was Chahal’s first team in the IPL.
