Apple Sanctions Russia: During the ongoing war in Ukraine, many countries and international organizations have imposed strict sanctions against Russia. Amidst all this, tech companies have also started tightening the noose on Russia against the attack on Ukraine. Apple has announced a ban on the sale of all products in Russia in protest against the attacks being carried out by Russia on Ukraine.

Apple services closed for Russia.

Governments and organizations of many Western countries, including the US, have drawn international criticism against the attack on Ukraine. Attempts are being made to isolate Russia on many fronts. Apple announced a ban on the sale of all products in Russia. Apple has removed Russian news apps RT and Sputnik from the App Store. Earlier, the company had banned the service of Apple Pay in Russia.

According to a statement issued by the company, Apple has stopped exports across all sales channels in Russia. The company says that they are monitoring the situation and are in talks with the governments of the affected countries.

This demand was made by writing an open letter.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov wrote an open letter to Apple last week, calling for Russia to be removed from the company’s products, services and App Store. He said that this would affect the youth, and the people of Russia would oppose the intentions of his army.

Apple said we are deeply concerned by Russia’s attack on Ukraine and stand with all those suffering this violence. We stopped the export of all cell channels to Russia last week to respond to this attack. Apple Pay and other services have also been limited.

Google and Instagram also took strict steps.

Apple has not given much information about the steps taken regarding the App Store in this hour of the current crisis between Russia and Ukraine. But, the company has stopped the traffic and live incident feature of Apple Maps in Ukraine.

Note that Google has also taken such a step before Apple. Google has also turned off Google Maps traffic data in Ukraine. Along with this, Instagram has also blocked all the Russian Times, the official news channel of Russia.
