In the telecom sector, BSNL, the state-run company that has given a tough competition to private telecom companies, has reintroduced its old prepaid plan. However, the list of prepaid plans in BSNL’s portfolio is much larger than before. Now BSNL has relaunched one of its plans which were discontinue some time ago. It is a prepaid plan of Rs 1,999, which comes with one-year validity. Apart from this, the company has revised the plan of Rs 399.
If you talk about BSNL’s 1999 prepaid plan, then you will get 365 days validity in it. Apart from this, customers recharging with this plan will get benefits like up to 250 minutes of calls per day. 3GB data per day, free PRBT with unlimited song change and SonyLIV subscription for 365 days.

With the introduction of this plan once again, BSNL has made some changes in the plan of Rs 399. Customers recharging with this plan will now get benefits such as free PRBT with 1 GB data and 100 SMS per day with 80 days of validity.
Significantly, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently filed a complaint against Bharti Airtel with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). According to BSNL, Sunil Mittal’s firm has threatened that if BSNL does not consider Tata Teleservices and Bharti as a merged company then it will disconnect its customers’ calls.
However, DoT has also not included the record of a merger from Tata Teleservices’ mobility business in Bharti Airtel and Bharti Hexagon. After receiving Airtel’s October 30 letter. BSNL wrote, “Guidelines from DoT are needed as the interests of the company and its customers are at stake.”
An Airtel spokesperson on the entire matter said, “DoT was informing of this merger”. The spokesman said that “The Registrar of Companies has also included this merger in the record”. At the same time, the company considers corporate governance and compliance.
