The next phase of the COVID-19 Vaccination (Coronavirus Vaccination) campaign began on Monday for people over 60 years of age and those 45 years or older suffering from diseases. With this, registration on the Co-Win-2.0 (CO-WIN 2.0) portal started at 9 am on Monday. It is also worth noting that the CO-Win app on the Google Play Store is only for managerial purposes.

How to Register on COWIN App for Vaccination

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) on Monday morning took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine (Corona Vaccine) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the capital Delhi and appealed to all those vaccinated for the second phase of the vaccination campaign. Under this, they are eligible.

How to register on Co-Win 2.0 portal?

Eligible persons will be able to register on the Co-Win 2.0 portal through their mobile number through a step-by-step process.

  1. Co-Win application, or log on to www.cowin.gov.in.
  2. Enter your mobile number. OTP will be provided to create your account. Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Verify’ button.
  3. After this, you will be redirected to the page related to vaccination registration. You have to choose photo ID proof by giving information about your name, age, gender, and ID proof.
  4. The page will ask you if you have one or more diseases. (comorbidity), which can only be answered by clicking ‘Yes’, ‘No’. If you are 45+, then upload the doctor’s certificate as comorbidity proof.
  5. After entering the information for registration, click on the ‘Register’ button.
  6. After registration is complete; The system will show ‘Account details’.
  7. Three more people related to this mobile number can be added by clicking on the ‘Add More’ button.
  8. There will be a button informing about the appointment.
  9. Find the vaccination centre of choice by state, district, block and pin code as per your choice. Here you will find information about dates and availability.
  10. Click on the book button.
  11. Once the appointment is booked, you can also reschedule it before the day of the appointment.

Q. How can you book an appointment for family members?

A. For every dose, there will be only one live appointment for the beneficiary at any given time. Appointments can be made on the application to choose the date and place of your choice before the scheduled vaccination day. For example, you can book an appointment for 1 March, and a slot will be allocated according to the non-availability. Apart from this, appointments can be booked on any date for further unvalued slots.


Q. What are the timings for registration?

A. According to the Ministry of Health, ‘for every dose there will be only one live appointment for the beneficiary at any given time. Appointments for any COVID vaccination centre for any date will be closed at 3 pm on the day for which the slots were opened. Registration will be possible from 9 am to 3 pm.

Q. How to make an appointment for the second dose?

A. A slot for the second dose will also be booked at the same COVID vaccination centre on the 29th day of the appointment date for the first dose. If a beneficiary cancels an appointment for the first dose, the appointment for both doses will be cancelled.

Q. Who is eligible for vaccination?

A. All such citizens who are aged or will be aged 60 or above on 1 January 2022 and citizens who will be between 45 and 59 years of age on 1 January 2022 and with any one of the specified 20 diseases. Suffering, they are eligible for registration.


Q. Which applications can get appointments?

A. Citizens eligible for the vaccine will be able to register and book for vaccination anytime and anywhere using the Co-Win 2.0 portal or through other IT applications such as Arogya Setu.

Q. How many hospitals are there?

A. In this vaccination campaign, there can be vaccination in 10,000 private hospitals under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, more than 600 private hospitals listed under CGHS and other private hospitals under state government health insurance schemes.

Q. What to do if you do not have a smartphone?

A. If you do not have a smartphone, then there will be the facility of on-site registration so that eligible beneficiaries can go to the marked immunisation centres. And get themselves registered and get vaccinated. If you want, you can also register by giving your number from someone else’s phone.


Q. What will be the cost of the vaccine?

A. The COVID-19 vaccine will be given free in government hospitals, while people will have to pay for it in private hospitals. Private hospitals may charge up to Rs 250 per dose of vaccine.
