Apple is one of the few brands that worked on face unlock with masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, the company updated this feature, after which the iPhone would switch to the passcode system when there was a face mask. However, the company added Face Unlock (Face ID) to Apple Watch with a mask to make it easier.
iOS 15.4 Face Id With Mask
After adding this feature, iPhone users can unlock their phone with the help of the Apple Watch without removing the mask and entering the passcode. The company may soon add another new feature, which can be very helpful regarding Face Unlock. In the latest update, users can get the feature to unlock the iPhone without the Apple Watch mask.
The feature will be available in the latest update.
The first developers beta of iOS 15.4 is getting such a feature, in which users can use Face ID with a mask. This feature has been spotted by YouTuber Brandon Butch, who has also shared its screenshot. iPhone users are getting the option of Use Face ID With a Mask in the Face ID and Passcode settings; users can use Face ID with a mask by turning it on.
Apple has warned
However, Apple has also warned about this. In the description of this feature, the brand has said that Face ID will work better when used with a full face, i.e. without a mask. According to the report of 9to5Mac, this feature will be available only for the new iPhones. However, this feature may have come after two years of using the mask, but still, it is the first feature of its kind. Apart from this, Apple is further improving Face ID to be used with glasses as well.
However, after the mask and glasses, there will not be much space left on your face, due to which Face ID will work. Face ID can work with reading glasses. This feature is part of the iOS 15.4 beta update. Only testers and developers can use it. It will take some time for this feature to reach all Apple users.
