WhatsApp is the most widely used instant messaging app globally, but many features are unavailable. One such feature is the transfer of large files. If you want to transfer a large file with the help of WhatsApp, then you will be disappointed. For this, you have to use a cloud storage app or Telegram. It seems that WhatsApp is looking to fix this problem.
Up to 2GB of files can be transferred on WhatsApp soon. The app is testing this feature. However, this feature will not be available to everyone. Instead, it is currently being tested only for iPhone users. According to the report, this feature has been spotted on WhatsApp’s iOS beta version 126.96.36.199.
File transfer up to 100MB now.
You can only transfer files up to 100MB on WhatsApp, which used to be enough until a few years ago. However, now people have to share files with more than 100MB. This feature is already present on WhatsApp’s rival app, Telegram; preparations are on to bring this feature on WhatsApp.
If reports are believed, WhatsApp is currently testing this feature in Argentina. WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot of this feature, in which WhatsApp is alerting users that iPhone users can send documents up to 2GB in size. However, it is not known how long this feature of WhatsApp will come, but it can be helpful to the users.
Work is going on on many more features.
Apart from this, WhatsApp is also working on many other features. This includes a message response reply. Like Facebook and Instagram, the option of emoji reply can soon be available on WhatsApp. On the other hand, the company has rolled out multi-device support. Many users are getting this update, after which WhatsApp users will be able to use their account on four devices simultaneously.
