The cases of cyber attacks are increasing rapidly. A similar ransomware attack happened on SpiceJet on Tuesday night. Due to this, the flight of the budget carrier flights have been affected. The impact of this suede attack has been mainly on the flights on Wednesday morning.
However, the company says that the flight operations have returned to normal, rectifying the glitch. This information has been given by tweeting the airline.
Now the situation is under control…
SpiceJet tweeted at 8.30 am and informed, ‘Some SpiceJet systems have suffered a ransomware attack on Tuesday night, due to which the flight of morning flights has been delayed. Our IT team has recognized the problem, and now the flights are operating normally.
The airline has 91 aircraft, 13 are Max planes, and 46 are older versions of Boeing 737s. Recently, SpiceJet’s CMD Ajay Singh told his employees in an email that soon, the onboard broadband internet service facility would be started in the aircraft.
Internet facility will be available on the plane soon
According to the report of PTI, Ajay Singh said, ‘This year we will keep adding new products and new routes to our network. Recently we have launched our best loyalty program, SpiceClub, and soon we will start broadband-based internet service on onboard aircraft. This email was written on the company’s 17th anniversary.
He said that the route network of SpiceJet will also be expanded. Let us tell you that there have been many cyber-attack cases in the recent past, but the instances of ransomware targeting the airline have been rarely seen. Having such attacks can be a big challenge for airline companies.
