Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 Will Compete with JioPhones?


Realme sub-brand Dizo on Monday launched its first feature phone in India, marking the company’s entry into the low-cost feature phone market. The two phones, Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300, come with a T9 keypad, a flashlight and support for Indian languages ​​etc. Dizo’s new phones compete with Reliance Jio’s JioPhone. JioPhone is carrier-locked but brings 4G connectivity to feature phones, a wide range of phones from brands like Nokia. However, Dizo has only 2G connectivity in the two new phones.

According to a report by CMR Mobile Handset Market released back in February, India’s overall feature phone market witnessed a 2 per cent year-on-year shipment growth and led the market in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a report by Transsion Holdings. had a brand.

If we talk about Realme Dizo Star 500, it has been launched in India for Rs 1,799, Dizo Star 300 has been launched in India for just Rs 1,299. Both these phones, i.e. Realme Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300, will be brought for sale on Flipkart soon. However, nothing has been officially said by the company for their sale yet.

Features and Specs of Realme Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300

The Dizo Star 500 sports a 2.8-inch non-touchscreen display, while the Dizo Star 300 sports a 1.77-inch display without touch support. The Dizo Star 500 sports a rectangular body with a block-like design with curved corners.

On the other hand, the Dizo Star 300 sports a candy bar design with curved corners. Both the feature phones come with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) camera at the back and an LED flashlight. The phone has 32MB of RAM and 32MB of internal storage, but you can add a microSD card of up to 64GB in both.


Dizo Star 500 supports Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu, among other Indian languages. Meanwhile, Dizo Star also supports Punjabi and Bengali. Both phones also support English. Both feature phones support FM radio, Bluetooth, voice recorder, file manager, music player and alarm. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Micro-USB port. The Dizo Star 500 packs a 1900mAh battery, while the Dizo Star 300 packs a 2550mAh battery.
