Reliance Jio 5G Speed Test Details Leaked: 5G is expected to roll out in India by the end of this year. However, as per the announcement made by the Department of Telecom ( DoT ), it will be released earlier only in 13 metro cities. Reliance Jio has already made a lot of progress in this segment.

The telecom operator recently announced that it had completed a 5G coverage scheme for 1,000 top cities. The company uses its own indigenously developed 5G device and technical parts for 5G testing. The telecom operator’s 5G speed test details have surfaced online ahead of the commercial rollout.

According to a screenshot shared by 91Mobiles, Reliance Jio’s 5G network will offer customers eight times faster download speed and 15 times faster upload speed than the 4G network. This shows that Jio achieved a download speed of 420 Mbps and an upload speed of 412 Mbps. It’s fast enough. Users can download a two-hour movie in less than a minute.

Jio’s 4G network speed

The trial was conducted in Mumbai, during which the speed of Jio’s 4G network was also disclosed. It gives a download speed of 46.82Mbps and an upload speed of 25.31Mbps. This means that users will enjoy faster speeds with the 5G network. However, it should be noted that this is a screenshot from one of the pilot tests, so the actual rate may vary when 5G is available to users, as was the case with 4G.

DoT has already confirmed that the launch of 5G will happen in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and some cities, including Chennai, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow and Gandhinagar.

Apart from this, Reliance Jio recently confirmed that it is also testing advanced use cases in healthcare and industrial automation on its 5G network. The company also revealed that it has partnered with WhatsApp for a prepaid recharge experience only for users. Other telecom operators like Airtel and Vi are also expected to launch 5G network by the end of 2022.
