Valentine’s Day Tinder Blind Date Feature: Before Valentine’s Day, the popular dating app Tinder has launched the Blind Date feature. Tinder wants to give its users the classic ‘the blind date’ experience through this feature. The company says that it intends to increase its popularity among the youth through this feature.
Targeting Gen Z Users
Through the blind date feature, Tinder wants to give its users the same romantic experience as before the arrival of smartphones. Tinder has said that it targets Gen Z users, i.e. youth of 18 to 25 years with this feature.
In this, such youth are being targeted, who want to take a personal first approach to find a partner and looking for authentic connections. This feature allows people to make first impressions based on each other’s personalities and interactions instead of photos.
New social experience
Blind Date As the name suggests, this latest feature has been named Fast Chat: Blind Date. This is a new social experience, in which you have to chat without seeing other users. After talking, if both agree, they can see each other’s profile and photo.
Pair by matching
In Tinder’s new blind date feature, members will have to answer ice breaker questions. It will be paired based on matching. After this, they can enter in a timed chat. Without knowing each other, they will have to answer multiple-choice prompts.
Currently available in the US.
After the end of time, both can like each other’s profile. Only if there is a match will each other be informed, or they can opt for a new pair. Blind Date has been made available in the US, but it will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks.
