Twitter has distributed many “blue ticks” to celebrities and media persons in the recent past. But if you want a blue tick for your account, then suppose you are in bad luck. Twitter has confirmed to interested users to temporarily pause the verification process due to improvements in the application and review process.
The Twitter verified handle has contacted its users and asked people to wait until they improve the process. Still, no date has been mentioned, which could mean you may have to wait a few weeks, or maybe even months. Twitter is consoling non-verified angry users and has promised to bring the service back as soon as possible.
Twitter “Blue Tick” Verification Process Halted.
Twitter said in its latest blog post, “We have temporarily blocked rollout access to apply for verification so that we can improve the application and review process. For those who wait, we know it can be frustrating. We want to fix things and appreciate your patience.”
When a user asked how long it would take, the company replied, “We are working quickly to implement some improvements to the application and review process before giving more people the option to apply.” We’ll let everyone know when we start access again.” Don’t worry; we are working on reviewing all the applications received as soon as possible.
Note that Twitter only provides blue tick verification to users who fall under these categories…
- Companies, brands and organisations
- News organization and journalist
- Sports and Gaming
- Workers, Organizers and Other Influential People
Also, your Twitter account must be active for the last six months, i.e. Tweet, Retweet, Like, Follow etc. In this process, information like name, number, email address and profile picture will be asked. Accounts must not be banned for 12 hours or seven days in the past year for violating Twitter’s rules.
