Whatsapp Feature Can Hide Your Last Seen and Status From Any Contact

WhatsApp is finally working on a new feature that all the users have been waiting for. Facebook authorised messaging app will now soon allow users to hide last seen, status, profile picture from selected contacts. At present, users have only three options in which they can either show their profile picture, last seen and status to everyone or keep it limited for their contacts. However, here you do not get the option to hide it from the selected contact.

Whatsapp Feature Hide Your Last Seen Status

According to the Wabetainfo report, WhatsApp is going to change its privacy settings. The messaging app will give this option to the users where they can hide their status and profile picture from any person. This feature is being tested on the beat versions of Android and iOS.

A few years ago, WhatsApp introduced three privacy settings. This included Last Seen, Profile Picture, About. With the help of these settings, you used to get permission about who can see your data. To manage this privacy setting, the company brought three options: Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody.

This is how the feature will work.

This means that if you do not want anyone to see your contact’s last seen, then you can go to the privacy setting and set the last to nobody. But today, the company is working on another feature which is My Contacts Except. That is, now you can show your previous scene to anyone, then you can hide it from anyone there.

Let us tell you that now My Contacts…except will be added to the privacy settings. That is, now users will have four options. When they select the Everyone option, it means that every person will see your profile picture, status and last seen. On the other hand, when you choose My Contacts, you will see everything in your contact. But after selecting the nobody option, no one will be able to see your last seen status and profile picture.

According to the report, this feature of WhatsApp is currently under development. And it can be rolled out with any stable update.
