However, Google is making amendments to prohibit this.

According to a report by Motherboard, the Invitation Links of WhatsApp Group Chats are being indexed by Google. Yes, while writing the news, when we searched the site: chat.whatsapp.com on Google, we did not get the invite link in the result. Motherboard’s team used Google search results to find some groups. Also, as an NGO recognized by the UN, they also had a group join in which they had access to the phone numbers and names of all the users present in the group.

WhatsApp’s reverse engineer Jane Wong has stated that Google has 4,70,000 results in the above case. Invite links of WhatsApp groups are present in it. At the same time, a user named Jordan Willden gave this information while tweeting on Twitter. He wrote that if you think that your WhatsApp group is safe then it is not so.

Google’s public search liaison Danny Sullivan has tweeted that others, including Google, make a list of open web pages. Any site allows a public listing of URLs.
