PUBG Mobile’s alternative BGMI has been blocked in India following a government order. This game was launched in India last year. It is no longer available to download on the Google Play Store.
Krafton’s PUBG Mobile Alternative, i.e. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), was suddenly blocked in India on Thursday evening. This battle royale game is no longer available on Google Play and Apple App Store. It is worth noting that the second game, PUBG New State, developed by Krafton, is still available in the country.
At present, no official statement has been made by Apple in this matter. But, Google has said that this was done after a government order. According to an India Today report, a Google spokesperson said that the app was blocked after receiving the order, and the developer was informed. The app has now been removed from the Google Play Store.
The BGMI developer is currently working with the government to make the game available back in the Play Store. Krafton told India Today that the reason for the game’s removal from the Play Store is unknown now.
Now, whether BGMI will return to the Play Store or be banned permanently. As of now, this game is not banned permanently. Also, the developer does not know why the game was removed from the Play Store. In such a situation, speculations can be made that the game may have violated some rules. Google has been banning many apps in the past as well. According to a Reuters report, the Indian government is yet to respond to Krafton’s query.
PUBG Mobile’s alternative BGMI is currently unavailable for download on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. However, those who already have the game. They can play it. For now, it will be interesting to see when this game returns to the stores.
