In today’s time, people are very conscious about their health and with the help of new technology, they use a fitness tracker to track their every activity. In general, the band is seen as a fairly affordable device, due to which the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 offered by Xiaomi was a better choice for the logo.
But the story has changed a lot in 2019. This year, Lenovo, Samsung, Honor, etc. have also made the competition very tough by launching attractive devices in this category as it has been introduced at an affordable price.

Band 4 review: Design and display
Talking about the design, the Mi Band 4 is an upgraded version of the Mi Band 3 introduced last year. In terms of design, it looks very similar to the earlier. Here you find a tracking watch-machine in the silicon strap that is common to this segment.

Band 4 at the back has a heart rate sensor and pogo-pins to which the device can be charged by connecting the charger. The size of this tracker is .94-inch with an AMOLED monochrome display, which you can use right-left swiping. The outdoor visibility is much better than the Mi Band 3 as it also gives you the option to increase or decrease the brightness. With the help of Mi Fit application in the band, many different watch faces can be used.

In the band, you get basic features along with some extra features like “Find My Phone”, music control, 5 different workouts. There are no visible marks on the screen soon and you can wear it even while taking a bath.
The quality of the silicone strap is also very good and it is available in black color. We used the band for a long time, so much so that its look and feel is better than other bands in this segment.
How to use Band 4?
Band 4 supports the Android platform. To set the band, first, you need to download the Mi Fit app. After this, you have to select the band in the application and keep your Band 4 near the device.
In a few seconds, it easily connects to the phone, in which you get to see almost all the features of your band and some extra features. But you can only use one band later on one device.
Band 4 Review: Activity Tracking & Software
If one looks at the use of the band, it is also mainly used as an activity tracker. The company has used a better activity tracker here than its previous Band 3. Talking, both the activity of heart tracking or sleep monitor can be tracked much better, along with storing these data in Mi Fit, you can also turn on high-heart alert.

Apart from walking and running, the band also records the treadmill, cycling, and swimming separately. The device also tracks calories burned with a continuous heart monitor while performing the activity. The swim tracking feature in the band tracks time, calories as well as stroke after swimming.
You can easily track activities like cycling through the Mi Fit app. This application mainly gives you better performance than the combination of your phone and tracker. Apart from these 6 tracking items with the app, you can also track 32 different activities.
In Band 4, you also get support for sleep and light sleep tracking along with sleep tracking. Heart rate sensor monitors your heart-beat. You can also use the “Find My Band” feature through the Mi Fit application. Apart from the change in vibration in the new band 4, along with the attractive music-control features have also been given to you.
Band 4 Review: Battery Life
We do not get 20 days backup as promised by the company. A full-charge 135mAh battery easily provides a 15-day backup, in which you use it fully in activity tracking and notifications. Yes, if the device does not sync, again and again, the backup becomes even better.

The absence of wireless charging according to the price is not a particular drawback. You have to charge it through the dock provided in the bandbox which comes with a small cable that looks better than Band 3. The fitness band is fully charged in about 2.5 hours.
Band 4 Review: Conclusion
Personally, I feel it is very important to get the tracking right and you get it to a great extent in this fitness tracker. If talking about step count, then even if going from home to office is not the right count, then what is the benefit of the tracker?
In Band 4 you get a good design and color display. It also tracks steps count, sleep and heartbeat in a very good way, and supports some extras such as music control, custom watch face and swimming tracking. It is also very easy to manage them through the Mi Fit app. If I speak directly, it proves to be one of the best smart band with its price.
