Earthquake in Afghanistan: According to India’s National Center for Seismology (NCS), it has a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale. According to local time, these tremors came at 9.52 am. According to the NCS, these tremors were felt 38 km northeast of Bajrak, Afghanistan. The epicentre of the earthquake was near Bajrak, and its depth was 92 km. However, so far, no loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake. Significantly, since the capture of the Taliban, people are agitated.

At the same time, the European-Mediterranean Earthquake Center (EMSC) has also confirmed the earthquake. It said that its intensity was 4.3. The US Geological Survey has also given information about earthquakes in Afghanistan. It has been told that solid tremors were felt in the area around the epicentre of the quake.

But as the distance from the centre increased, its effect decreased. Apart from Bajrak, the tremors were also felt in Jabal Saraj, Charikar, Nahrien and Pul-Khumri. At the same time, it has been said that after the tremors of the earthquake, people came out of their homes and started saving lives.

Earlier, on Tuesday morning, earthquake tremors were felt in Faizabad, Afghanistan. During this, the earthquake’s magnitude was 4.5, and it was supposed at 6.08 am local time. Its centre was 83 far southeast of Faizabad. Faizabad is located in Badakhshan province and is known as a commercial and administrative centre. There was no news of any loss of life or property during this period. Earthquake tremors have been felt frequently in Afghanistan.

Strong earthquakes have already occurred in the country.

In 2015, a 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit Alqahdari-Ye Kiran Van Munjan in Afghanistan, with its epicentre in South Asia. At least 399 people died in Pakistan due to the earthquake. In 2009, a 6.2-magnitude quake struck Faizabad in Badakhshan, Afghanistan. Due to this, there was a landslide, and at least three people were killed. There is also an airport in Faizabad, which the Afghan Air Force uses.
