The pockets of Indians living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and wishing to return to India will be loose.
There was a massive increase in the ticket price for flights coming from Dubai to India in 2019. According to reports, the rise in July can be 10 to 25 per cent more than the rent of the year 2019.
Airlines are charging 8000 to 10000 for a flight from Dubai to Mumbai, but it will increase drastically in July.
From July, the fare for a one-way flight from Dubai to Mumbai will be more than Rs 21,000 (1,000 dirhams).
Currently, the Dubai to Kochi flight ticket is around 10000-25000 (900 dirhams), but from July, its ticket will be Rs 42,000 (2,000 dirhams) or more.
In July, flight tickets from Dubai to Delhi will also cost Rs 21,000 (1,000 dirhams). At present, its price is around 6,000 rupees (300 dirhams).
Ticket prices for flights going from India to UAE will also increase similarly.
The ticket for a one-way trip from Mumbai to Dubai will increase four times to around Rs 54,000 (2,600 dirhams). The flight fare from Kochi to Dubai is currently 21,000 rupees (1,000 dirhams), but for this too, people will have to pay 500 dirhams or more.
Those planning to travel from Delhi to Dubai will be relieved to know that in mid-June, the ticket price will cost around Rs 25,000 (1,200 dirhams). This fare ranges from Rs 10,000 (500 dirhams) to Rs 21,000 (1000 dirham).
Air ticket prices have increased in recent weeks amid rising fuel prices due to the Russia-Ukraine war and fuel shortages that could not meet the demand for petrol and diesel. However, to deal with this, the airlines have announced many schemes.
Sooraj Ramesh of Al Baden Travel Agency says that due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the prices of air tickets have increased, but the demand has not decreased at all.
