New York Subway Shooting: 62-year-old Frank James Fired 33 Times


In America, the sudden firing at the metro station in Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday morning (local time) caused panic. The news agency AP quoted the police saying that a gunman wearing a gas mask fired 33 times. At the same time, it was noted by the New York Police that more than 20 people were injured in this incident of firing, in which bullets and 13 more people allegedly hit ten were in smoke—been wounded due to or due to other reasons.

New York Police revealed the name of the suspected attacker after several hours of effort after the shooting incident in the Brooklyn subway. Police said that the suspect was a man of heavy stature. He was wearing a neon orange-coloured vest and a grey sweater. The suspect’s name is Frank James, and he is still on the run.

Chaos erupted in the Brooklyn subway on Tuesday morning after a shooting incident. The suspect is said to have carried out the entire incident single-handedly, dropping and firing two smoke bombs into a New York subway car.


After the firing incident, dramatic situations remained there for a long time. A subway train on the N Line is shown pulling into an underground station near Sunset Park in Brooklyn as soon as people get out of the train. There was chaos and panic. People were trying to know what happened after the smoke bombs exploded.

Frank James has been identified as a Person of Interest. He is about 62 years old, and it is being claimed that he has had links with the crime world. A person of interest is called a person who can potentially be accused of an incident.

Police say that the assailant is still away from arrest. New York police said a $50,000 reward would be offered to anyone providing information about the suspect.


A key to the van has been recovered at the spot. Reuters quoted police saying that the truck was rented in Philadelphia. Officials say James has two addresses in Philadelphia and Wisconsin.

The suspect fired 33 rounds with a Glock 9 mm semi-automatic handgun at the crowd of passengers.

New York Mayor Eric Adams is currently isolated after being infected with Corona. Still, his security has also been increased after the accident as links between the suspect James and Mayer have been found in several social media posts.


The incident is not yet being investigated as an act of terrorism. However, the motive of the attack is not yet known.

After the incident, the mayor of New York referred to the horrors of gun violence in the United States. He has identified some security lapses in the incident. The mayor reported that the security cameras at the station were faulty, and there were no policemen present as chaos broke out at around 8:30 a.m. local time.
