A massive explosion took place near the house of Hafiz Saeed, accused of Mumbai attacks hiding in Pakistan, in Johar Town, Lahore. According to the report of Dawn newspaper, 12 people have been injured in this attack in Jauhar Town. According to rescue officials, the blast took place near E block of Ehsan Mumtaz Hospital in the town. Those injured in the attack have been admitted to the hospital.
An ambulance service spokesman said it was not yet clear what caused the blast. “So far, we have not been able to determine whether the gas pipeline burst or the cylinders caused the blast,” he said. But we have got 12 people admitted to the hospital for treatment. Given the situation, the number of injured may increase. He reiterated that the reason for the blast is not yet clear. “We don’t have a confirmed report of the blast yet,” the spokesman said.

Speaking to Sama TV at the spot, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik said that 12 people, including women and children, were injured in the blast. He said the cause of the explosion was not clear, but a massive crater has been created due to it. Malik said that the reasons for the blast would be known only when an inquiry is conducted in the matter. At present, the entire area has been cordoned off. Also, people living nearby have been asked to stay indoors.
